Avoid replacing diesel injectors

Fuel Injector Failures

Today’s diesel fuel systems run much finer tolerances and exceptionally high pressures. As a result, they also operate at much higher temperatures.

This harsh environment can cause diesel fuel to degrade within the fuel system. A good clue for service people is that when the fuel degrades, the fuel filter media turns black throughout.

That’s a signal that your diesel will be leaving deposits inside injectors and pumps, as well as losing its lubricity. Not only will injector and fuel pump wear increase, but fuel metering accuracy will deteriorate markedly, and will result in poor fuel economy, and more frequent fuel system failures.

Poor injector feedback values will identify injectors that are not functioning properly. Typically, the injectors are then deemed unserviceable. However Cost Effective Maintenance have demonstrated that this is not correct. Injector feedback tests continually confirm that in over 90% of cases, injectors can be recovered, simply by fortifying the diesel’s lubricity and cleaning/keep clean ability by dosing the fuel with CRD Fuel Enhancer. Resulting in a zero-downtime fix.

At Cost Effective Maintenance, we specialize in developing innovative, low cost solutions to a wide range of vehicle and equipment problems.
